Collectively, Canada’s rivers make up **25 major watersheds**, each brimming with stories of history, culture, ecology and economy. Yet, as a country we are missing an important part of that story. At a national level, we don’t know how healthy our rivers and watersheds are or what threats they currently face.
WWF launched the Watershed Reports in 2017, Canada’s first wide assessment of the country’s watershed focusing on four indicators of river health and seven key threats.
These are the results of our most recent re-assessment.
